Hello Again!
Everywhere we go, we've pretty much been the centre of attention. Toursist from all over are more interested in our kids than the national momuments themselves! We were fortunate that Mr Lee requested for the down jackets, not only did they keep them all toasty, they looked really smart when they walked around! From the pictures I believe you can see how our kids, clad in their bright red jackets, stand out in the crowd. It really helps when you have 40 children to look out for!If you look closely at the previous posts, you can even see Americans posing with the kids in the photos!

Our BIG BOSS Mr Lee
At 'Tian Tan' - The Emperor's personal place of worship, the pupils were given the opportunity to see how echos work. There was a circular enclosure where one could hear 1, 2 or 3 echoes depending on which stone you stood on. But because of the sheer volume of tourists, it was almost impossible to actually hear the echos. The children however, did get a chance to play with the 'talking walls' and hear their friends across the parade square just by speaking to the walls! Its amazing how people in the past were able to build everything without the help of technology!
Classes have already begun and our pupils were very impressed by the courage and leadership abilitiesof their beijing counterparts during the morning flag raising ceremony. During the first day, many of them were shy and would not dare approach the pupils of Beijing. However, they've started to warm up and have been the centre of attention ever since! Most of them have even been recieving little gifts which they've been proudly 'showing off' to their teachers and friends. Our pupils have been split into 3 levels but they all come back with the same complaint - that Chinese lessons are the most difficult to follow! =) hahaha.
We wanted to go to the Birdnest Stadium yesterday but it was too foggy to take nice photos, so we went back early instead. Hopefully we'll be able to stop by the stadium before we head home. Today, we went to the zoo and they really had fun taking photos with the pandas and other wild beasts! I'll let the photos do the talking! =) See you soon!
Miss Lee
